If you received a recovery notification and you did not initiate it, follow the steps below based on the type of wallet you use.
Ethereum: Wallet in recovery
You will receive an email notifying you that your Argent Ethereum account is being recovered.
If you still have access to your phone or wallet
- Open the Argent app.
- Go to the Security tab and tap the recovery message.
- You will see an option to Cancel recovery.
If you have guardians in addition to Argent default guardian, they must approve the cancellation.
Friends and family guardians can approve cancellation in their app.
Hardware wallet guardians can cancel recovery at https://security.argent.xyz/cancel-recovery by:

Clicking their guardian type

Searching for your wallet username (e.g. username.argent.xyz)

Approving the cancellation
If your phone has been stolen and the thief has requested recovery

Ask your guardians not to approve the request

Lock your wallet with a guardian

Recover your wallet with guardians on a new phone
Starknet: Escape signer triggered
You will receive an email about the escape signer process being triggered.
Starknet mobile accounts can only be recovered with our help.
If you did not initiate this, contact us at support@argent.xyz.
We can only initiate a Starknet recovery if the request comes from the email linked to the wallet.
If this was not you, please also check your email account for any suspicious activity.
Argent X: Escape signer triggered
If you are using Argent X (browser extension), you may see a guardian escape process has started.
- Log in to your Argent X wallet.
- You will be prompted to cancel the escape if you did not trigger it.
- Follow the steps shown in the wallet to stop the recovery.
