Unauthorized Argent Vault recovery
You will receive an email that looks as follows:
If you still have access to your phone / wallet:
If it is a Vault recovery, you can cancel the recovery from the Argent app. Go to the "Security" tab and tap the message about the recovery. You will see the option to cancel it.
If you have Guardians in addition to Argent Guard, they will need to approve the cancellation.
Friend or family Guardians can approve the cancellation in their app.
If you have a hardware wallet, you can connect it at https://security.argent.xyz/cancel-recovery. Click on your guardian type, search for your Argent wallet username (username.argent.xyz), and then approve the cancellation.
If your phone has been stolen and the thief has requested a recovery
- Make sure that your Guardian(s) do NOT approve the request.
- Lock your wallet with a Guardian
- Recover your wallet on your new phone
Unauthorised recovery of Starknet mobile wallet
You will receive an email message with the following content:
Currently Starknet mobile account can only be recovered with our help. If you see this message, and it is not you trying to recover Starknet account, please reach out to us at support@argent.xyz. Please also check your email security as we are only able to initiate such recovery if the requester is emailing us from the address associated with the wallet.
