If you received a notification that a new guardian is being added to your Ethereum account - and you did not request this - do not worry. You have 36 hours to act before the change is confirmed.
What to do if you did not initiate this change
Option 1: Lock your wallet immediately
If your current guardians include the default Argent guardian, Metamask, or a hardware wallet, you can lock your wallet yourself at:
security.argent.xyz/lock-wallet
Option 2: Ask a trusted guardian to lock the wallet for you
If you have a friend or family guardian, ask them to lock the wallet for you:

They should go to Argent Ethereum wallet

Go to Security > Guardians

Tap Who I protect tab

Tap your wallet > Lock wallet
Once the wallet is locked, the new guardian cannot be approved and will not be added.
If you suspect unauthorized access

If you are certain no one else has access to your phone, email support@argent.xyz immediately

If you no longer have access to your phone, we recommend recovering your wallet on a new device as soon as possible
