IMPORTANT: zkSync Lite is phased out, and the protocols that used to support it moved their infrastructure towards zkSync Era or other networks. You need to move your assets on zkSync Lite outside of Argent.
You may come across the message: "This transaction has a higher network fee to set up (link) your account" or see an activity item called "Setup account".
What is this?
You need to connect your zkSync (Layer 2) account to your Ethereum (Layer 1) account before you can transact - you can only use zkSync address if you own the same address on Ethereum mainnet (your address on L1 is created automatically when you setup the account, you don't have to activate your Argent Vault to use zkSync). This first action on zkSync completes the setup of your Argent account on the network.
If you recover with guardians, you will need to repeat this process.

Securing your zkSync wallet is a two-step process for some of our existing users, or if you have previously gone through the Ethereum account recovery flow with guardians.
To maintain the security fundamentals of the Ethereum blockchain, you have to make both an Ethereum transaction (typically more expensive) and a zkSync transaction (cheaper, which is bundled with the action you are trying to do on zkSync).
