You can change the email address associated with your Argent account.
Argent Mobile:
Open Argent > select the account at the top of the Assets screens (for example, Mobile) > Settings > Account details > Email
For security we ask you to verify the change by entering a code we send.
If you have Argent X smart accounts (2FA-protected) or Argent web wallet connected to the same email, the app will not allow you to change the email as it would effectively disable these wallets.
If you have Argent web wallet
Please contact us to support@argent.xyz so that we could help with the change.
If you have smart account(s) in your Argent X wallet
Login to your Argent X wallet in browser extension.
For every account that is 2FA-protected (has a small shield icon in your accounts list) go to Settings > Click on the account name > Change to Standard account > confirm transaction (it requires a small network fee).
Once done, log out of the Argent account in Argent X > Settings > email button at the bottom (your Argent X wallet will keep working, but will not be protected by 2FA for now):
You would need to wait a few minutes for the transactions to complete on-chain.
You can now change your Argent email address to a new one or match/unmatch the email address previously used by other Argent wallets.
IMPORTANT: If you have a smart account that is not deployed, you will need to deploy the smart account first and then convert it to the standard one.
