What is happening to Argent Vault (Ethereum) and zkSync Lite accounts?
Argent Vault and zkSync Lite are being moved into a dedicated app.
You can continue accessing your assets, but we strongly recommend moving them to Ready. You’ll get new features like the Ready Metal card, and a better experience.
Why are Argent Vault and zkSync Lite getting a separate app?
We’re moving Argent Vault and zkSync Lite into a standalone app so we can focus on building the best experience with Ready.
We’re no longer actively supporting Argent Vault or zkSync Lite. We’ll only fix bugs that could put user funds at risk. There will be no new features, and no active development.
We strongly recommend that you move your assets to Ready. If you do not want to move your assets to Ready, move them to a different wallet. Only use the new Argent Vault app if you are not planning to move your assets from Ethereum to Starknet
Ready is the original vision of Argent Vault. The onchain alternative to your bank.
How do I transition my Argent Vault or zkSync Lite account from Ready to the new app?
If you choose to migrate to the new Argent Vault app, follow these steps:
Download the Argent Vault app from the App Store or Google Play Store
Open the Argent Vault app and tap Get Started
Make sure you have updated Ready to the latest version
Tap Move Account in the Argent Vault app
Complete FaceID (or biometrics) in Ready and tap Approve
Secure your key with your passcode or biometrics
Open the Argent Vault app, set your new passcode, and (optionally) enable FaceID login
Your keys will now migrate
Tap Ok once your account has been successfully moved
You can now use the Argent Vault app with your Ethereum account
If you have any issues or need help, please email support@argent.xyz
Are the Argent Vault smart contracts safe?
Yes, your funds are safe. The Argent Vault smart contracts remain unchanged. They are open source, audited multiple times, and have never been breached. Argent Vault remains a very secure way to store Ethereum assets, but we recommend moving your assets to Ready or transferring to a different wallet which is actively supported.
What’s the difference between Argent Vault, zkSync Lite and Ready?
Argent Vault is our original Ethereum smart contract wallet, focused on high security. You can no longer create new Argent Vault accounts, and we’ve stopped developing new features. We strongly recommend moving your assets to Ready.
zkSync Lite was the first version of what is now the zkSync Era Layer 2. Since the launch of zkSync Era in 2023, development of zkSync Lite has stopped by Matter Labs. There will be no new accounts, features or improvements.
Ready is the original vision of Argent Vault. An onchain alternative to your bank. Where you can buy, store, invest, earn and spend crypto using the Ready Card.
As a thanks for your long term support, Argent Vault users can claim 30% off the Ready Metal card when they transfer from Argent Vault to Ready. Email support@argent.xyz if the discount is not applied automatically.
Do I have one smart contract wallet for both Vault and Ready?
No. Argent Vault and Ready are separate wallets. Argent Vault runs on Ethereum. Ready runs on Starknet. They have different smart contracts.
Can I still use Argent Vault?
Yes. It still works and we would not shut it down without a long transition period. But again, we recommend moving your assets to Ready as soon as possible.
Do you recommend that I move my assets to another Ethereum wallet?
We strongly advise moving your assets to Ready. If that’s not something you want to do, use another supported Ethereum wallet. Only use the new Argent Vault app if you have no other alternative.
