Overview
Argent only supports tokens on Ethereum or Starknet. Please do NOT send tokens from different blockchains to your Argent address, otherwise you will lose the assets.
For the list of which Ethereum-based tokens Argent supports, please refer to this guide. Please find a FAQ on tokens below.
Can I send my non-Ethereum tokens, e.g. Theta/EWT/VET/BTC etc., to Argent?
No. Argent is an Ethereum/Starknet wallet. It only supports tokens built on Ethereum and Starknet (the full list is here). If you send tokens from another blockchain to Argent address, there is NO method to retrieve them. They will be lost.
Can I get my private key so that I can try and retrieve the non-Ethereum tokens?
- Your private key is stored on your device and never leaves it unencrypted. There is no way to access it.
- Accessing the private key on a smart contract wallet (which is what Argent is) wouldn't allow you to retrieve tokens from another blockchain.
Can I switch blockchains in Argent from Ethereum/Starknet to others?
No. Argent only works with the Ethereum and Starknet blockchains.
Where can I see what tokens can I send to Argent?
You see them in this article.
Can Argent retrieve tokens from other blockchains?
No. Please do not send tokens from other blockchains as you will lose access to them. Argent is a smart contract wallet for the Ethereum and Starknet blockchains only. Even if you sent tokens from another blockchain that supports smart contracts, and even if Argent built its entire infrastructure on that new blockchain to try to help you, we would not be able to as we could not deploy our contracts to the predetermined address that has access to the tokens.
