Thank you for joining us on zkSync Era
We want to thank everyone who joined the waitlist and tested Argent on zkSync Era. Your feedback helped us explore new ideas and understand what matters most to our users.
Why we are focusing on Starknet
Since then, we have launched several initiatives on Starknet. It turned out to be a better fit for Argent’s approach—every wallet on Starknet is a smart contract, just like Argent. This means Dapp developers design with smart contract wallets in mind, which allows for smoother experiences and better security features like recovery, session control, and custom permissions.
Because of this, we have stopped development on zkSync Era and decided not to continue beyond the alpha phase.
If you never funded your zkSync Era wallet
-
The option to create new zkSync Era wallets in Argent has been removed.
-
This prevents more users from needing to manually move assets later.
-
No action is needed on your end.
If you have funds in zkSync Era
-
You can still access your zkSync Era wallet in Argent for now, but we are phasing out support.
-
While your funds are safe, you may experience reduced performance over time.
-
We recommend transferring your assets out of zkSync Era.
