Why does my transaction show an estimated completion time?
When you make a transaction in Argent, you might see an estimated completion time. This is based on the current conditions of the blockchain network your transaction is happening on.
Why can it take a long time to send an asset?
In most cases, transactions are fast—especially if they stay within the same network.
However, transfers between different networks can take longer. This delay is usually part of the way blockchains are designed to ensure security between ecosystems.
For example:
-
Transactions within Starknet or within Ethereum are usually almost instant.
-
Transactions from Starknet (L2) to Ethereum mainnet (L1) can take up to 10 hours to complete.
This delay is built in to help protect the network’s integrity.
These times are not controlled by Argent—they are part of the rules of how each blockchain works.
