Here are the types of fees you may encounter when using your Argent Ethereum account:
Blockchain network fees (gas)
You’ll pay Ethereum network fees, also known as gas, for onchain actions like:
-
Creating your wallet
-
Approving transactions
-
Interacting with Dapps
In some cases - such as when using the Invest feature - Ethereum gas fees are included in the quoted rate.
Argent does not profit from network fees.
Fiat-to-crypto exchange
When you buy crypto with fiat (e.g. USD, GBP), you’ll pay a fee to the third-party provider that handles the exchange.
Argent does not currently charge any fee for this.
Crypto-to-crypto exchange
When you swap one cryptocurrency for another, you will pay:
-
A small exchange fee
-
Ethereum network fee (gas)
Argent takes a small share of the exchange fee, but not from the gas fee.
Dapp fees
Some Dapps, whether integrated natively in Argent or accessed through WalletConnect, may charge their own usage fees.
Always check the Dapp directly for any applicable fees before proceeding.
