Why we ask for your phone number

We cover network fees (gas) for some of your wallet’s security options, so we need to prevent abuse like creating millions of wallets to drain our funds

We use your phone number to send you security alerts, alongside email notifications

It serves as a default method to enable 2-factor authentication when recovering your wallet
What we store
We store an encrypted version of your phone number on our servers.
I cannot receive SMS from Argent
If you are unable to receive SMS while creating a new mobile wallet, you can bypass phone verification by tapping Cannot receive text messages during the phone verification step.
Please note:

We will not be able to send security notifications to your phone number

Initially, you will only be able to recover your wallet using access to your email account
If you cannot receive SMS when trying to access an existing account, please email us from your wallet’s registered email address at support@argent.xyz.
