There are a few common reasons why a transaction may not appear in your wallet:
1. The sender may have used the wrong address
To check your address:
-
Open the Home tab in the Argent app (where your assets and balance are shown)
-
Tap the + button (Add funds / Fund)
-
Your account address will appear — make sure this is the address you shared with the sender
Keep in mind:
-
Ethereum and Starknet addresses are not the same. Sending assets between them using the wrong address will typically cause an error, as the address formats are not compatible. Some other networks that use the same address format as Ethereum (like other EVM chains) may not trigger an error, but the funds can still be lost if sent to an unsupported network
-
If the transaction did go through, you can check its status on a block explorer:
2. The token sent is not supported
Argent supports:
-
On Ethereum: ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 tokens on Ethereum mainnet only
-
On Starknet: only Starknet-native tokens
Tokens not supported by the destination network will not appear in your wallet, even if the transaction succeeds
3. The transaction is still processing
Blockchain transactions are not instant. Processing time depends on network congestion and gas fees.
-
In rare cases, transactions can take up to 24 hours
-
If more than 60 minutes have passed, check that:
-
The address used was correct
-
The token is supported by the network and wallet
-
4. The transaction involves bridging
If the transaction involved bridging between Ethereum and Starknet:
-
Bridging can take up to 10 hours, depending on the provider
-
If you used the in-app Layerswap bridge and the transaction seems stuck, contact them via Discord - they can trace the transaction directly
5. Other issues
If none of the above apply, please email us at support@argent.xyz and we will help investigate.
