What is a Trust List?
Trust Lists are sets of Dapps that do not require guardian approval for transactions.
Currently, the Argent List is the only available list. It is active by default in your wallet. This list includes specific Dapps and functions that are natively integrated with Argent, such as in-app token exchanges and investment options.
How does it work?
Transactions made with a Dapp or address included in the Argent List do not need guardian approval. These are vetted integrations that do not pose a security risk when used within Argent.
If a transaction involves a non-trusted Dapp or address, guardian approval is still required—unless you are transacting during a Trusted session or sending to a Trusted contact.
Example:
Depositing DAI into Compound does not need guardian approval because it simply returns cDAI to your wallet. However, sending DAI to an address not on the list will always require guardian approval.
Who manages the Argent List?
The Argent List is maintained by our team to stay aligned with our native integrations.
-
Adding a Dapp to the list has a 1-week timelock for added security.
-
Removing a Dapp takes effect immediately.
The list is enabled by default. Disabling it will turn your wallet into a full multi-signature (multi-sig) wallet, meaning all transactions will require guardian approval.
How to enable or disable the Argent List
The Argent List is turned on for you by default.
To disable it:
-
Go to your Ethereum account > Security > Trust lists.
-
Tap on Argent list.
-
Tap the Enabled button to toggle it off.
Disabling the list is an onchain transaction and will require a network fee (gas) to complete.
Important:
Once disabled, every transaction—including transfers to Trusted contacts—will require guardian approval.
Can I add a custom Dapp?
At the moment, you cannot add a Dapp to the Trust List yourself. If there is a Dapp you would like added, please email us at support@argent.xyz.
